Guess Who

Picture appeared in Mar. 21, 1935, identity appeared in Mar. 28, 1935, Wayne County Press, Fairfield, IL. The "Guess Who: fans last week were stumped, many of them.  But the picture of the fine looking, bewhiskered gentleman was that of the late Dr. N.P. Meritt, who died some 15 years ago, maybe longer, at Ellery.  Dr. Meritt was one of those fine old characters, whose life is largely a sacrifice as well as a benediction for his neighbors who he served 30 or 40 years as a capable country physician. No country physician served better nor more faithfully.
